Technical Specifications
Point of Care (PoC) CD4 [abs], annual extended warranty for item S0001224 PoC CD4 [abs], portable counter with starter kit or item S0001242 PoC CD4 [abs], portable counter with starter kit and accessories. This is for new equipment and also for already in operation from bidder.

·Period: 12 months at a fee of USD 1,000 with no free analysers. This may be purchased at any time.
·Alere will repair the analyser at no cost for the customer. Replacement is at the discretion of Alere; if an Analyser fails permanently during the warranty, it will be replaced at the discretion of Alere, provided the fault is not from abuse or misuse.
·Alere will provide a swap instrument for the duration of the repair which has to be returned after the customers unit is repaired and back with the customer. The customer must return the failed Analyzer to the service location, at their own expense. After completed service the customer must retrieve the repaired Analyzer from the service location, at their own expense.
·If an Analyser fails permanently during warranty, it will be replaced at discretion of Alere provided fault is not abuse or from misuse”; loan units will be provided within a fixed period of time, no more than 24 hours after receipt of the failed analyser. Provided these are returned to the designated services point, the swap would be available at that services point immediately, subject to swap units being available.
·In cases where a loan unit is provided, the original analyser, with its specific serial number, will be returned to the customer, and the loan unit, with its specific serial number, returned to Alere, rather than the loan unit permanently replacing the original analyser. The provided loan system is returned to the services point, where the faulty unit was originally deposited.
·Failure before the extended warranty expires: Alere will identify services points in each country which are normally in the main city and at the premises of the distributor. It is the responsibility of the user to return and deposit systems for repair at services centers. Users may, if they wish, negotiate enhanced services with the distribution partners, at which point they would collect the systems at a cost to be covered by the users.
·On the occasion of an analyser being repaired, Alere will provide software or other analyser upgrades, where these are required.
·Warranty will not be invalid, if analysers are moved to a different site in the original country. Alere should be notified, if analysers are moved to a different country, as the warranty may be invalid.
