General Description:
Diesel driven generator set, air cooled, and skid mounted, with an output of 5kVA at 1500rpm

Technical Specifications:
Small size, portable diesel engine driven generating set; mounted on a sturdy skid frame, with anti-vibration dampers, with four (4) lifting eyes
The generator has an output of 5kVA at 1500rpm, 220V, single-phase, 50Hz, with power factor of 1.0
The alternator is brushless, self excited, self regulated and single bearing type
The generator is powered by an air-cooled, direct injection, naturally aspirated diesel engine, with electric start and a "sealed-for-life" battery

The engine has a centrifugal governor and is fitted with safety devices such as low oil pressure (LOP) and high engine temperature (HET) cut off

The fuel tank has a capacity to allow 8 hours normal running, with a lockable fuel tank cap

The control panel is mounted on the generating set and includes two 220V, 16Amp, single phase European outlet sockets.
The control panel includes ammeter, voltmeter, circuit breaker, frequency meter, hour-run meter, start key, oil pressure and battery charger warning lights
Operator, maintenance, and spare parts manuals are included
The generating set is supplied with one set of fast moving spare parts for one year of operation

Instructions for use:
The set is used for power generating mainly for lighting
Regularly maintain the engine according to the manual (On the UNICEF SD Intranet a sample template is posted to assist with the maintenance of the engine)

Precondition for utilisation:
Maintain a record sheet for the used hours
Prepare ventilated and covered room with noise reducer
Prepare the room with a covered outlet for the exhaust pipe
