General Description:
A complete diesel generator set including diesel engine, alternator, control panel, starting equipment, fuel tank and all other accessories for autonomous operation.
The generator is to be fitted with tropical radiator and supplied with distilled water in the cooling system.
Factory test must be produced for any ordered units and all generators must be in accordance with international standards.

3.Quoted output ratings are Prime power in accordance with ISO8528 e.g. power available at variable load with no limitation on hours of operation and capable of 10% overload for 1 hour in any 12 hours.

Engine
Heavy duty diesel engine, with the following characteristics:
Water cooled
- Synchronous speed: Up to 1800rpm
- Speed governor
- Heavy duty air cartridge filter
- Cartridge oil filter
- External fuel filter
- Residential silencer
- Exhaust with suitable flexible piping
- Starter including batteries, leads and automatic battery charging equipment

Fuel tank
Integrated fuel tank of suitable construction having sufficient capacity to run the generator continuously for 8 hours at rated capacity. Tank to have all necessary piping for operation and filling and conveniently positioned fuel level indicator.

Alternator
- Synchronous, air cooled and brushless.
- Protection Class IP 23
- Automatic fast voltage regulator, maintaining the output within 2 % under normal conditions
- Screen protected
- CEE Sockets: one 3 pole and one 5 pole

Panel board
- Automatic main circuit breaker
- Change over switch w/positions for:"MAINS"-"OFF"-"GENERATOR"
- Key to start and stop the unit
- Emergency stop button
- Meters for: Volts (with selector switch to show phases to zero and phase to phase voltages), amperes (three meters (one per phase) or one meter with selector switch for successive reading of phase apms, frequency, running hours counter
- Acoustic and visible alarms for critical parameters including high engine temperature and low oil pressure

Protection
The generator set should be equipped with automatic shutdown equipment if fatal parameters are exceeded including low oil pressure, high engine temperature and over-speed.

Mounting
The engine and the alternator should be connected with a heavy-duty elastic coupling and should be mounted on a common rigid base frame with anti-vibration dampers and lifting eyes flexible for transportation. Engine, alternator, fuel tank and panel should be one integrated unit mounted on skid.

Accessories mandatory to be quoted for each item as stated below

- Operation and maintenance manuals (full workshop documentation for both motor and alternator)
- Spare parts catalogs, drawings and information concerning the foundation, erection requirements, electrical connections to load and earth, etc. all in English
- Tools kit including pipe spanners for injector's etc.
- Spare parts for 2000 hours of operation in the first two years as recommended by the engine manufactureras a minimum and including: oil filter, air filter cartridges, full sets of v-belts and 1 full set of cylinder head gaskets) please specify quantities
- Full set of replacement switches/ sensors for detection of fatal parameters (low oil pressure, high engine temperature, belt failure etc.)
